Opportunity Fund
Opportunity Fund supports civil society organizations in low- and middle-income countries to seize fast-moving, high-impact reproductive health and family planning advocacy opportunities.
Locally driven advocacy and accountability efforts are critical to ensure countries deliver on their family planning and reproductive health commitments. Opportunity Fund is a flexible source of financial and technical support for near-term, focused advocacy led by local civil society. We work with advocates in low- and middle-income countries to engage with their policymakers across all levels of government in order to meet the reproductive health needs and choices of women and young people. PAI has managed Opportunity Fund since 2013 as part of the Advance Family Planning (AFP) initiative.
Since 2014, Opportunity Fund has provided $4.1 million in advocacy support to civil society organizations, resulting in 65 policy and funding wins for family planning.
